SEN to start selling globally April 1, 2009,Tokyo: SEN Corporation ("SEN") announced today that Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. ("SHI") concluded the purchase of 50% interest in SEN owned by Axcelis Technologies, Inc.("Axcelis") on March 30, 2009. As a part of this transaction, SEN and Axcelis entered into a cross license agreement that allows both companies to use certain patents and technical information, related to ion implant systems, owned by the other upon the closing date on a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual basis. In relation to this transaction, SEN changed its name from "SEN Corporation, an SHI and Axcelis Company" to "SEN Corporation" as of April 1, 2009.
